Mail Order Brides Law, Fact and Fiction

Are We A Mail Order Bride Service............NO!

We are not classified in as mail order brides. There really is no such thing as a mail order bride service. This was a term created by the media and was wholly inaccurate in its meaning. One can not order a bride via the mail and pay for her to be delivered to his country. In the past women would be flown to a country to meet a man for marriage whom she had never met in person or only through mail or photos, but never in most western countries, especially in the U.S. There was something of this sort going on with women from Asian in the past, but this has ceased a long time ago. Various media outlets have portrayed women as less than decent who look to marry a man from outside their country. They have also portrayed the men as lacking in some respect. What nonsense! Most of these negative references have been from western women. They just can not except why a western man could possibly want to marry a foreign or Asian women. Just ask yourself why?

Is It True That The Philippine Government Has Banned Mail Order Bride Companies?

About 15 years ago the Philippine government passed a law {Republic Act No. 6955} prohibiting mail order bride companies from operating in the Philippines, because of abuse of some services that were not protecting the rights of the Philippine women. These were not U.S. based services. A little known fact is, that this law was also written to protect Filipinas who were also seeking overseas employment as household helpers etc. Many Filipinas were being solicited by foreign agencies from countries that were not protecting these womens rights. Many women ended up exploited. You usually do not see that part of the law published. There continues to be Filipinos sent to foreign counties as helpers, but the recruiting services must follow the rules. We are not a Philippine based company, but U.S. based. The law also specifically refers to and was made for services that will facilitate the introduction of women {pen pal or introduction services} to foreign men who reside in countries where the rights of the Filipina can not be guaranteed. In most western countries especially the United States, women's rights are well secure and enforced, with women's hot lines etc. This Philippine law seems to frown on groups of men who fly in together, We do NOT provide group tours. Each man comes separately and is introduced to single Philippine women on a individual bases.

This law also frowns on services promising or to guarantee marriage or where it is predisposed. We do not and how could a service guarantee such a thing? This law seems to be more directed to pen pal services that makes references such as just mentioned. With pen pal services they will sell their lists of ladies to anyone and there is no way that they can qualify the men buying the lists as sincere. They also do not and can not check the backgrounds of their women members. We have refused service to some individuals whom we felt did not have the best interests of these women at heart. The law does not put any restriction on women meeting or associating with foreign men who come to the Philippines to meet them. The law specifically states "the right of free association shall not be infringed". The law also prohibits introduction services or pen pal services from soliciting women within the Philippines or charging a fee to the women. We do neither, as stated on our site. Most of women members come to us via word of mouth. The women that do use our sign up form are told in no uncertain terms what kind of women we expect them to be. We do research their backgrounds which other types of services could not possibly do with large memberships. The law also makes reference but is unclear concerning the introduction of "unknowns". Men who will meet women that have no idea of the mans background or who he is until he arrives. This is why we have all male clients send us a profile, photo and introduction letter that we pass to the women the man will meet prior to his arrival. Most if not all U.S. introduction services seem to be following the law, at least mostly.

There is much misconception about this law. You will see some tour operators, pen pal services and others twisting and misrepresenting this law and giving out false information in order to make it look as if they are the only ones operating legally or they are just uninformed. Usually, you will never see the complete law posted on the Internet even if the site says it is. It is also interesting to note, not one service has ever been prosecuted. There has been some negative publicity in the Philippine media a long time back criticizing many pen pal services who seemed to be portraying the Philippine women {Filipina} as an object or a chattel and not as a human being.

We expect all our male clients as well as our women members who use our service to have sincere and good intentions. This is not a service for any type of immoral or less than decent activity. Although we do our utmost to screen all our women members and our male clients for their honest and good intentions, it is ultimately up to the men and women who use our service, to use their own common sense to access each others integrity.

We strongly object to any service be it a pen pal service or a introduction service that is unflattering in any way to the portrayal of Philippine or Asian women.

We do not sell women. We are a service that provides contacts to sincere men and women who wish to meet sincere and decent future partners.

These are good and decent women and should be treated as such by all.

We do not make marriage arrangements or suggest any man or Filipina rush into such a union.

If you are looking for a relationship with a women who will be subservient and a submissive type or to be treated like a servant, you are in the wrong place.

If your main concern is only finding a sexually accommodating women, you are also in the wrong place.
