Information For Your Trip To Cebu City In The Philippines

Our tours are NOT just for men who have no pen pal or a girl to meet that he has made contact with on his own. We STRONGLY suggest that even if you do have some contacts of your own; make yourself available to meeting other women. To come to the Philippines to meet just a hand full of women is foolish and not cost effective. As we have mentioned on other parts of our site, most of the time or a large portion of the time, the women you meet with the pen pal and chatting method will not be what you may have built her up to be in your mind. The worse thing you can do for your future happiness is to settle for the best you can get from the choice of a few women neither of which may be the right one for you. One should meet at least 20 or more women so you can have a much better choice. Also keep in mind, just because you may choose a particular women that does not mean she will choose you! That holds true for women you have made your own contact with as well as ours. Keep your options open!

The basic Philippine currency is the Peso and at the present time there are about 49 Pesos or Piso to the Dollar. The Peso is further broken down into Centavos and there are 100 Centavos to the Peso. Basic coin denominations are; 1, 5 and 10 Pesos. There are also 25, 10 and 5 Centavo denominations. As for paper notes there are 10 {10 being phased out}, 20, 50, 100, 500 and 1000 Peso.

We read on one tour site that credit cards are not widely accepted! We are always amazed with the wrong information on these sites! Credit cards such as Visa and Master card are widely accepted everywhere with all types of businesses. Just about every store in the malls take charge cards. Traveler checks are not widely accepted and you will also have a difficult time finding establishments who will except them and exchange them. Many hotels will exchange Travelers Checks for cash, but at a lower rate of exchange. You are much better off to bring some cash and you're ATM, Visa or other charge card which you have a pin number for cash withdrawals. You can easily access your local bank back home for cash. ATM terminals are everywhere open 24 hours. P.C.I. Bank, Coconut Planters Bank, Citibank, Union Bank, HSBC Bank and many others are linked internationally to banks abroad.

You must have a valid passport with an expiration date at least six months beyond your arrival date.

Take casual clothing and summer attire. Filipinos are informal. It is a good idea to bring one or two pair of slacks and a nice pair of shoes for a formal or semi formal evening that may occur. It is also a good idea to have these along when you meet the girls family as a good first appearance is important. After that, you can dress down.

The temperature in The Cebu City area is sometimes less hot and humid than other parts of the country, but still, you can expect temperature between 84 to 90 degrees year round.

As for Americans and many other nationals, you are automatically issued a 21 day stay upon entering the country which can be extended. To be sure depending on the country you are from, check with the Philippine Embassy or consulate as to what the requirements are.

Although the official language is Tagalog, English is also an official language. Most people in the cities speak English to some extent and just about everyone reads and writes it. As you venture to more remote and poor areas English will be much less prevalent. This is one of the reasons why we shy away from women members who live in the outlying provinces. They can barely speak or understand English unless they attended college and if they did attend college most would not be in the province.

Food in the Philippines is generally safe and good with only a few of our guests in almost 20 years ever complaining of a bad stomach or mild food poisoning {which you can get in the good ole U.S.A. too!}. You can eat very cheap also. Native Philippine food which consists of a wide variety of ingredients using beef, pork and chicken and you will love the seafood!

No shots are required when visiting the Philippines. If you are planning to visit remote area than check with us first.

In the cities there is a abundance of medical facilities as well as private Physicians of all kinds and specialists. If you need some quality dental work done Cebu is the place to do it at a fraction of the cost of having it done in the U.S. or other western countries. We will put you in touch with competent dentists.

About the women who belong to our service. As stated on other areas of our site, we go to great lengths to make sure we have sincere women whom we introduce are men to. We can honestly say, we have a real good selection of women in looks and integrity. They are mostly all educated at the college level, going to college, or some college. One site states they give their women members medial exams, {we do not believe that} well we do not! This would be highly insulting to these women! We have never once in all the years we have operated, had one man complain to us that the girl he choose had some bad disease.

As for transportation, we recommend you do not use the local city jeepneys which are small buses of a sort with a capacity of about 16 people. They are without air conditioning, noisy, dusty and cramped and have at no extra charge, many a pick pocket or as they call them in the Philippines, snatches! Use taxis, they are cheap, very cheap and the flag down rate is only 30 Peso or about 56 cents U.S. It usually will cost you about 50 to 60 Pesos to go to most places in the city or about 95 cents U.S. You can rent a car if you want also. Always insist the driver always uses a meter, not a flat rate. Most taxi drivers are polite and basically honest, but there are some that are not.
